How can I fix power drops in my rides?

In some cases, it is possible that the communication between the Notio aerometer and the power meter fails for a moment mainly due to interferences. GC Notio has an editing tool that allow to interpolate the power for short period of time less than 10 consecutive seconds. First, you will need to select the intervals during which the power drops occurred. You can select more than one at a time. You can also create intervals manually in Golden Cheetah.

Second, go in the edit menu and select “Correct BCVx Power Drops…”

A dialog box will appear with a brief description. Press the “OK” button to proceed.

The tool will modify the raw data captured by the Notio. So, for that reason, you need to recompute your ride to see any changes.

Note: It is possible that it will not fix some data. If the drop duration is more than 10 seconds, it will do nothing. Also, it will only work if the Notio detects an invalid status from the power meter.
