Why does my altitude drift when I ride in a velodrome?
Altitude deviation is a phenomenon that occurs in the velodrome. It can be caused by environmental factors such as barometric pressure, temperature or air density that may vary. While in a velodrome, you usually have a constant altitude*. The drift phenomenon can be set in post-processing treatment in Golden Cheetah Notio.
Top Menu -> Tools -> Altitude -> Constant (which equal to 0)
After selecting the constant altitude, it will automatically recompute the data and fix arbitrarily constant altitude to eliminate potential errors.
*Note: So that your elevation does not change when you ride on a velodrome, you must keep the same line and not go up or down in the corners.

The Golden Cheetah functionality to “Find intervals…” has been improved by adding a method to find laps in a velodrome (still in beta). It can be used for outdoor and indoor tracks. It is based on the Notio sensors. First, you will need to compute ...
Is there a protocol to calibrate my Notio on outdoor velodrome?
Calibration on an outdoor velodrome is a big challenge. Especially because of environmental conditions. Yet, we have not determined a robust protocol for outdoor velodrome users. If you are a Notio user and you train on an outdoor velodrome, you will ...
What does the Air density graph show?
This graph displays the Air density in kg per meter cubed (kg/m³). The changes during a ride are usually caused by a change in temperature and will also depend on the altitude. Generally, it will be closer to 1.15 kg/m³ in the summer and closer to ...
